1:43 pm	SO long since I was here!! I can't believe it's been this long since my last livejournal update!!!!! Time sure does fly when you have work to do. XD Here's a journal for the peoples. Sorry to keep you all hangin'!!! ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- MY ARTS ARE ON DA - theminiarkana.deviantart.com ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- LONDON MCM EXPO - MAY 2009 ---------------------- Where do I even start with this? Friday - Long car journey down to London from Warrington. Two cars with me driving Shera - my Nissan Micra - and driving his mother's unnamed ford focus. In my car was and . In the other car was and an un-Da'd passanger called Lee XD We had radio walkie talkies to stay in touch throughout the journey. Was very fun and very amusing. Much movie quoting along the way. When we got to the hotel, I donned my Rufus ShinRa garb and ran around the hotel. We met up with :iconjaks-dwarf-kingdom: and . This ended up being our group for the weekend XD Saturday - OH MY GOD! Why did I choose to cosplay Nero the Sable??? The wings took 45 minutes to assemble in the morning (thanks Si and Will) AND I had to walk 15 minutes to the expo with two people behind me supporting them because I couldn't have them outspread on the public footpath!!! But when I got to the expo at 10:00am...oh dear god...so many photos of me, so many people there!!! It was like being famous!!! I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this was the best expo day I have ever had. I met so many wonderful cosplayers and got talking to so many new people! I entered the world record attempt of course and got filmed and interviewed by the guys talking about it! XD I can't thank everyone enough for their wonderful photos and their newfound friendship! You guys are all awesome. You know who you all are XD Sunday - This was supposed to be my day of rest and instead I choose to cosplay the only Szayel Aporro Grantz there XD So a busy photoshoot centered day really. I went along to the BLEACH photoshoot and met more wonderful people and even made a Mayuri-approved cake for everyone there!!! XD It went down a treat. I even met people who didn't recognise me from the bondaged monstrosity I was previously and complimented me before realising who I was, so I was very ego-stroked on that day XD Of course I attacked Quincy's. And then they later seek me out on DA to mock me. You know who you are Quincy's! I will have you on my lab table. Oh yes. Things didn't go well for other peoples, but I leave it to them to tell you of this. I, personally, had a great time and OMG! Mokonas! Aren't they so cute?? I bought the white one for and he bought me the black one XD!!! So anyone who I haven't mentioned please know you're all awesome, and anyone who I haven't added on DA yet, but managed to seek me out then please tell me!! Any photos of me on either day that I haven't favourited, then please tell me also!!! You are all awesome people and I pray to god that you're at the October Expo!!! --------------------- UNIVERSITY --------------------- Well kiddies, as of yesterday I am now a graduate of University. I have to wait until the end of June for my results and then I am attending the Nova gallery in Liverpool to give a talk on my work that will be displayed there. I'll be there on Tuesday the 7th of July between the hours of 1pm and 4pm so if anyone fancies it, you can come harrass me and see my gallery work XD (shameless self-promotion) It's been three years already. An immense three years at that. I've had the usual stresses of University but I've met so many people thanks to it and had so many great times. Two years of rambling about family guy, silent hill, and other such things with Dan. A year of drinking every Tuesday with Tom and Jason. Continual art in-jokes with Christina, Amy, Chloe, Mikaela and Julia (amidst others). Three years of drawing anime in my sketchbook in every English lecture I went to. It's been one hell of a white knuckle ride. I take a year out this year and then I once again return to Chester University to apply for my PGCE in order to teach at Secondary schools. So this year will be me doing stuff that I won't be able to do once I'm full time XD ---------------------- YEAR OUT + COMMISSIONS ---------------------- So yeah. I decided to really concentrate on getting Longshott fresh and up in this year. A tragedy happened last year which halted the comic coming out. My hard drive used for keeping all my information on it whilst I wiped my PC crashed and took with it 9 years of hard work and internet stuff. Needless to say, the script for Longshott, the coloured pages, and other arts were on it. So I had to go again. Go figure DX. But now at least I can start again and with that I also open up commissions. I'm not really claiming to be awesome at artwork, but I figure if I put my mind to it I can draw anything for anyone. Also I can do a photo of any of my cosplays for people if they really want one up as a print or anything. XD I'll say £10 for a full A4 drawing (fully coloured with all the trimmings of course) and £5 for a photo cosplay request. XD Just something to keep the ball rolling. If you're interested, just send me a note with the title 'COMMISSION' in it, and I'll arrange something. I'm also going to be re-learning my violin this year. It's always been a hobby of mine that I never really had the time to sit down and work hard at, so I figure I could always do with brushing up on it. At least you'll be seeing more of me on DA and LJ now. I have much of my new work to put up. I'm sure you'll all like it. 3:07 pm	Random Easter Related Update COUNTDOWN UNTIL EASTER HOLIDAYS: 4 DAYS and 15minutes until Easter Break. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well holy hell. It's that time of year again...the time when Bunny Rabbits breed like no one's business, and the time when Chocolate never looked so appetising. And of course there is the release of DOOM and Chonicles of Narnia to look forward to..... In the middle of two exams: ART - Deralict Spaces - 3 weeks into project GRAPHICS - Time and the Passage of Time - Sundials and Clock Towers - 4 weeks into project (If anyone has any imagery for either of these, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE God help me now!!! SEND THEM TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! And I will credit you on my Journal....heck....I'll even take a request!!! PLEAAAAAAAAASSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!) And I'm preparing for SIX May papers.... Psychology - Written Essay x 2 - 1 Hour Psychology - 20 Core Studies - 1 Hour Science - Biology - 1 Hour Science - Physics - 1 Hour Art - Deralict Project - 15 Hours Graphics - Time Project - 5 Hours So as you can imagine.....I'm up to my eyeballs in prep. work at the moment! In other news, I'm moving into a different room in my Nan's....considering the ceiling fell down last year in my small one....and it's much larger than the previous one!!! I'll have lots of space to breathe and think, and can even start writing and drawing at my shiny new reading/writing desk!!! Also, on Sunday, I attended a tournament of Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millennium TCG....I came 3rd.....go me!!! I'm on Sabertooth Games website now!!!!! (As Theminiarkana no less....) So I'm kinda happy with myself.... I've not got any updates, as my PC has been gone for several weeks now, and I am Photoshop lacking....but I have been drawing....evil imagery mainly, but with a few comic pages thrown here and there. And finally Abigail Ryder (she'd on DA too!) read over my comic and told me what needed to be done...how I danced with joy at being told it was cool.... =^^= And me and Dieru are doing as fine as ever. He too read my comic and laughed at a terrible picture in it....(it's so cack!) so I plan to make him help me draw angles.....MUAHAHAHAA!!! 11:39 am	Loooooooong Update Time Well...it has indeed been a while since my last update and rant, so I'll fix you up with a rant until I get myself a decent finewriter pen for to ink-eth mine pictures. As far as buying things is concerned, since Jan 4th (my last update) I've purchased the following manga: ~Tokyo Babylon - 4, 5 ~Saiyuki Reload - 1 ~Tokyo Mew Mew - 4, 7 ~Yugioh Duelist - 9, 10, 11, 12 ~Yugioh Millennium World - 2 ~DEATH NOTE - 1, 2, 3 ~Battle Royale - 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 ~DNAngel - 10 ~DEATH NOTE Doujinshi - Footnote - Go-Devil-Dante's excellent doujin I also purchased an Uke Card from Go-Devil-Dante so now I can go and show the world that I am well and truly owned! And I've finally finished the 1st issue of Longshott, had it checked over for art and english, and had it handed back to me, and I am now beginning the second draft of it! So that should be okay soon...when I get a fine writer! >_< I've been updating my sketchbook for DA and now have a whole selection of things to be completed - so go down to Ted's section to see what they are! In college, Psychology rocks. I've just done an exam for it and found it to be a breeze. In Graphics, I'm doing fine with Unit 2, I just need to update Unit 1 as soon as possible! >_< In Art my snake and reptile imagery looks fantastic, and I've completed the week's tasks (thank god!). In Science....well....I hate science...it's boring...the only thing interesting is the Biology part....and that's all diseases and virus'. Fanfiction is going well with a chunky update of it's own. Again, Pandora has control over that section, so skip dow to the fanart section to see that one! In other news, my cousin is having another baby....so that knocks the baby total up to 6 little brats when he/she is born. Just great. Way to populate the world, Cuz! In my love life, I'm still with and on Feb 10th, it will be our 3 year anniversary! =^_^= Since Jan 4th, I've also been to Chester Zoo and made a cute li'l movie, been to Manchester twice, enjoyed Chinese New Year in Manchester's China Town, been out to the pub a few times, and lazied around. I also have becoem addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubador on the DS. It is not my fault. It is addictive once you unlock the Password machine.....and see Yami no Bakura in all his evil glory.....and see Ryou Bakura looking cute and confused. I've also remade my Spellcaster and Bakura deck in Yugioh cards. D-E-A-T-H!!!!!! So...there we have it...how...cute? Obsessive? Bloody long? 3:01 pm	First Big Longshott Update The first update in a while isn't it? Okay, first up, the production of Issue One of Son of Love - Longshott is back in production and with only twelve more pages until the end of the first draft, you can tell I'm getting a little excited about this! It's a 30 page comic, and the first issue is One of Two. The characters are introduced, the first half of the comic plot is laid out in Issue One - 1 of 2, and the main characters are introduced - that is, the characters who are used more than once and become major plot turners! The character profiles for the characters in issue one are being updated, but due to copyright reasons I can't post them here. Instead, they'll be included in the middle spread of Issue One - 1 of 2 and concluded in Issue One - 2 of 2. There are seven profiles in total. In case you want to know, here's who's included in the two part spread: ~Issue One - 1 of 2~ Ted Longshott Aaron Longshott David Longshott Lei Harris ~Issue One - 2 of 2~ Mo-Hin Singh Bradley grahams Hawrrang Again, I'll just put up the images for the profiles, not the actual profiles. I will be selling Issue One (both parts) in a printed version of course, and will only sell them at £1.50 each. Again, this money is for the paper costs, the ink costs, the printing ink, the resources used (pens, pencils, staples, etc), and will help to make the next set of comics. There will be five comics in total in the first set (not including the two part first issue) making up part One of the (at the moment) Five part series. The first one is called "Son of Love - Longshott" with the next one being "The Deamon Trials". The series as a whole has been changed from "Longshott" to "The Deamon Chronicle". If you have any suggestions for the change in title, then speak them now before the front cover is finished after the comic is finished. As a treat, here's the first Five issues (remember, both parts of Issue One count as one comic): Issue One - 1 of 2 - Awaken Issue One - 2 of 2 - Awaken Issue Two - The Deamon World Issue Three - Raquel Issue Four - Friends and Enemies Issue Five - Trentarus Well, you can tell that I'm well on my way with this, with the huge update and everything. The reason being is that I'll finally have sorted out all my work in Art/Graphics/Psychology/Science by the end of this week and will begin the production of the script, inking, final draft of the first issue next week! Basically...I'm gonna work like hell all week, be unsociable, complete my work, succeed with completion of work to get good grades, and then start afresh! 9:20 am	Insert Witty and possibly sarcastic title It's been a while since I last updated hasn't it? Well...so much I have to blab about! *deep breath* Let's kick start the day by announcing the start of my third year at college. My grades were great (all Cs) and I'm feeling really prepared for this year (more so than last year)! I chose art, graphics, psychology, and Science for Public Understanding (SPU). The tutors are great (Mike thinks that my Psychology teacher is a Jedi...more fool him), and I'm a lot happier than I've been as of late. I started Final Fantasy VI and VII again - just for the hell of it - and also Legend of Zelda. I'm still playing Altered Beast for the PS2...not bad really...just one big gore fest! So I'm a video game addict, who cares? In the drawing field, I've done everything...just need to ink and scan it! >_< In the fiction field......let's just say the next chaper of vampire Night will be great! I lost my job sadly...was made redundant. Big cause for a lot of depression. I'll get over it someday. Lost a friend I'd had for three years as well, decided he didn't want to be friends anymore. Really upsetting. I've started the Longshott comic, and also have two pet projects of VG Factor and Duelmasters. One comic, one audio works. Should be pretty damned good when me and Drew get them finished. Applying for University too! Wanna go for a Fine art and English course! ^^ Cross your fingers ladies and gentlemen! Things with me and Drew? Well...we're engaged!!! But there are problems at the moment...he's a little upset. I want to cheer him up desperately! *sniffle* I'm trying to remain optimistic! (if that's how it's spelt!) Well...that's about it, so aside from that and waiting for FAKE and Advent Children DVDs, I've been pretty good. 11:21 am	Updates and Updates Okay, first thing's first.... I'd like to apologise to everyone who had to try and cheer me up over these past few weeks....I was wrong to ever make you feel like you had to cheer me up in the first place... Secondly, I hafta apologise to Zerobeat99...none of this was over you...you didn't make me feel bad...it was just a disagreement between friends...trust me... Thirdly, really hafta apologise ta Dieru and Oni_Fira...I've been putting all of my stresses onto those...and I shouldn't have...it was wrong...sorry.... Finally, my biggest apology should be for Sayajin-Jounouchi...I know I've been terrible over the past few weeks...and I'm sorry for that...really....please forgive me....*bows* I'm feeling a lot better this week...everything seems to have been sorted...therefore, I'm happy again...so everyone doesn't have to try and cheer me up.... Finished my exams now!!! WHOOPIE! And that means I can laze around and pretend I give a damn now!!!! (joke!) 1:49 pm	Sad Song of my personal reflection She sat at the keyboard, her fate playing in her head, her eyes narrowed and downcast to the many letters and numbers that fell beneath her fingers. They fell and rose again, died and then were reborn; and she hated them. It hurt to see that something could be reborn without her consent. It hurt that the letters would mock her, springing back up to meet her eagerly pressed fingertips once more, and it hurt that her own happiness could never be reborn. Contemplating that, wondering why these letters were spelling out her emotion and pain onto the small monitor, she lowered her gaze again. She was upset...unhappy...unfufilled...and the many letters matched the many thoughts in her head...the ones that were running across the screen...spelling it out...in plain...English... The wave of emotion spread over her. She knew that people she called friends would read this, would understand, and she would be happy again...it was a reason to carry on typing. The letters made sense. TheMiniArkana, only by reputation, not by her own name, sat backa nd admired the screen, her fingers still working eagerly over the keyboard. She had been given time to calm down...and now...she felt complete... ------------------------- Sorry about that...just a little bit of personal reflection due to some girl in my college today... I feel pain... But there's nothing i can do about it... But I'll survive... And when I come back...When the feelings return... I'll be stronger than ever... Current Mood: Someone help me please... 2:19 pm	*whimpers softly* Although internet access is only available either through the day or at about six at night, I still have the weekend gap troubles...this would limit my posting down to only 5 days a week...which isn't normally a problem, but I just don't wanna miss anything!!!!!! I was trying to think how I could fit Lord Freeza into the RPG, but failed dismally and now I can't even post my characters because I don't know how this system works!!! I feel like a rookie still.... Frieza: You're also a rookie at massage! Sorry Lord Frieza! *rubs his feet* That better? Frieza: *purrs* Right...where was I? Oh yeah. So...umm...I'll have to post my characters on somewhere and hope someone will see it...right? So.....yeah. Well....I hope all goes well for me... 1:45 pm	Joined an RPG on Live Journal!!! Well, as it is obvious to all, I'm an RPG master on Yahoo!, MSN, and the like, but on live journal, I'm downgraded all the way down to Rookie again! It's like getting another chance!!! I joined the Ginyu Force - Duel Of Fates RPG, and I like it already! (Even though I haven't done much!) Made a new friend on it too!!! So I'll have to work hard at learning how to use Live Journal! I'm sure I'll be fine! Frieza: *snigger* what? was that okay?
